This full-time, FLSA non-exempt position is responsible for the water lines, sprinkler heads and complex irrigation system for the Sugar Hill 18-hole Golf Course. This includes computer system, electrical system, valves, lines and sprinkler heads. It also includes general maintenance and upkeep of the golf course.
POSITION DUTIES:
The golf course maintenance crew performs many outside tasks to help prepare the golf course for daily member play. Tasks involved for the job include but, are not limited to:
General operation of mowing equipment for greens, tees, fairways, roughs and common areas.
Raking of bunkers, waste areas and cart paths.
Conducts monthly checks of all sprinkler heads on the 18-hole golf facility.
Properly inventories and stocks all irrigation parts and tools in order to minimize down time.
Prioritizes irrigation breaks and uses time efficiently.
Operates, maintains and repairs the irrigation system, including isolation valves, electrical system, irrigation control along with leaks on the distribution lines and sprinkler heads.
Reports any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Superintendent and maintains a log of completed repairs.
Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system including the lake re-circulation system and water features.
Determines wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads.
Performs other duties as required
