5 Things to See at the Holiday Celebration

The Holiday Celebration is Sugar Hill’s free winter event that will be sure to put you in the holiday spirit. This event will take place on December 2, 2017 from 5:30-8:30 PM in Downtown Sugar Hill. There will be many fun events including pictures with Santa, carriage rides, and much more to enjoy in the heart of the Sweet City.

Here are five exciting things that are going to be at the Holiday Celebration:

Santa: Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa echoes the giving nature of the Sugar Hill community and brings excitement and happiness wherever he lands.  Everybody will be able to take that famous “picture with Santa for free.” Santa will bring happiness and joy to the children and listen to their holiday wishes in Sugar Hill.

Snow: Snow in Georgia may seem crazy, but we’re making it happen at the Holiday Celebration. There will be a snow machine to provide the kids with a taste of a magical winter wonderland that they will never forget. Both kids and adults will be able to participate in wintery activities.

Tree Lighting: As part of the Holiday Celebration, there will be the annual lighting of the Sugar Hill Christmas tree. Stand in awe as the lights around the tree begin to light up the winter night and bring holiday cheer to Downtown Sugar Hill. Our tree is truly a sight to see for everyone at the Holiday Celebration.

Holiday Market: Organized by the city’s own Sugar Hill Area Women’s Club, the Holiday Market will be comprised of a many local businesses and makers that will be selling their products at the celebration. Every purchase made will help our wonderful community grow and thrive, and you could leave with the perfect gift.

The Grinch: Enjoy meeting an old classic at our holiday celebration. The Grinch is coming!  Will you see the mean and grumpy Grinch that steals presents or the nice Grinch who gives to all? Come and experience for yourself.  He will be walking around the event, so feel free to ask and take a picture with him, and be sure to keep your eyes on him and his mischievous antic.

Please also remember to bring your old coats to donate to those in need and be sure to eat at the food trucks, enjoy the performances on the stage, and ice skate at the Ice Rink @ Sugar Hill.

We hope to see you there!
